5.) Where in the world are CMU Alumni? Melvia Wong, CMU MBA, is currently in Armenia serving as a Peace Corps Response Volunteer. Melvia writes:

If you are seeking a distance- learning Masters program, I highly recommend CMU. I received an MBA with a concentration in International Business last June. It has opened doors to international consulting opportunities for me. In April 2011, I applied for and was accepted immediately in the Peace Corps Response Volunteer program in Armenia. Of course, I already had the advantage of being a Returned PC Volunteer but I know that having the required MBA assured my acceptance for this assignment as it will for future international consulting contracts.

CMU's distance-learning program is concentrated and requires the student to be committed, dedicated, motivated, and to have the self-discipline to complete the course work and numerous research projects. In a long distance-learning environment, staff support is crucial. Ongoing support from the CMU staff and the Dean never let me down. They provided me with the necessary help and motivation to complete the program. CMU distance-learning programs also provide other benefits such as the convenience of studying on your own time schedule and saving money on gas. I especially liked CMU's personal touch."
